MACSL Affiliates
The MACSL Family stretches far beyond the walls of our business locations. Many dedicated massage therapists have worked and continue to work at Mizokami ACSL Therapy. Some MACSL Therapists trained for years under Sylvia while working at our office. Other therapists have gone through Sylvia’s extensive training program to become a certified MACSL Therapist. As someone who worked hard to start and build her own business, Sylvia encourages therapists who decide to move on from our office to build a career on their own. She views her training as a way to educate massage therapists, help them improve their massage technique, and ultimately to help patients improve their health through massage. We maintain a strong connection with the MACSL Therapists that work outside of our office because Sylvia believes in the work they do. We believe in providing clients with the best possible treatment, so we want to give our clients knowledge of, and access to, all of the business places that practice MACSL. That is why we created ‘MACSL Affiliates’ — a membership for trained MACSL Therapists that want to maintain a strong connection with Mizokami ACSL Therapy.

Brenda Brashears
BA, ATC-R, CPT, CMP
Brenda is a highly skilled and effective practitioner with 25+ years of experience in athletic training, physical rehabilitation, and massage therapy. Brenda worked with Sylvia in San Clemente/Dana Point for many years before moving to Vancouver, BC, where she continues to practice and specialize in the MACSL Technique. Brenda studied Sports Medicine and Athletic Training at Linfield University (Oregon, USA). After a career as an elite cyclist, she worked in multiple physical therapy clinics, including MACSL Therapy.

Jody Conners
CSCS, CMT
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Massage Therapist
Jody is a South Orange County native who is passionate about helping people function at their best. She is a Certified Massage Therapist and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, (NSCA). She completed the advanced neuromuscular therapy program at Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy in 2010. She is skilled in Trigger Point, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage as well as mobility methods such as Active Isolated Stretching. Jody has continued her training under Sylvia Mizokami in the Mizokami Advanced Circulatory Sports Lymphatic (MACSL) therapy. As a lifelong competitive athlete, Jody understands the the need to balance strength and soft tissue mobility. She was a Division I volleyball player at the University of San Diego, a AAA ranked beach volleyball player and holds three U.S. Outrigger Championship titles. With a M.A.Ed. and 20 years of experience teaching, and training, Jody is adept at helping people of all ages restore balance and improve their overall health.

Yvonne Huang

Dr. Yvonne Y. Huang has over 10 years in the physical therapy industry. She pursued her doctorate and now has her Doctor of Physical Therapist degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, CA. She has a passion in women’s health/pelvic floor rehabilitation and lymphatic-oncology rehabilitation. She is dedicated in the pursuit of life-long learning through constant continuing education.

Vicki J. Kong
Acupuncturist
Vicki is a well-studied and experienced acupuncturist who has trained extensively in the MACSL Technique and has adopted MACSL into her own practice . Vicki achieved certification as a Gold-level MACSL Therapist after being trained extensively by Sylvia Mizokami. She also trained with Tiona Miyamoto to learn the MACSL Facial Techniques, and is certified Silver in MACSL Esthetics.

Licensed Esthetician/Skin Therapist/MACSL Certified
Amy earned her esthetician license after graduating from Advance Beauty College. She has always had a passion for health and wellness and believes the skin is an essential part of our overall wellbeing. She loves focusing on the anti-aging effects that consistent, quality skincare can have on her clients. She is certified to use LED light therapy, as well as microcurrent technology. She also received certification from the prestigious MACSL therapists and is trained to offer MACSL Lymphatic Treatment on the upper body. She loves the benefits that this type of massage can bring to every customized facial. Her goal is that every client leaves feeling empowered, confident and satisfied with well-hydrated, glowing skin. She is so happy to be practicing her passion in her hometown of San Clemente, CA
